Brian Q. Severin is a distinguished retirement plan expert with over 25 years of experience. He has worked with hundreds of Retirement Plan Sponsors to improve all aspects of the plan including participant engagement and is a firm believer of independence.

He is passionate about sharing his knowledge with business leaders, as well as with their employees as they look to save for retirement through their employer-sponsored retirement plans. His articles and commentary have appeared in Think Advisor, Retirement Daily, U.S. News & World Report, AARP and USA Today, among others.

Brian started his career with Mutual of America Financial Group in 2000 and held various leadership positions in sales and marketing, eventually becoming the President & Chief Operating Officer of the Company.   He played a critical role in fostering significant growth in the Company’s overall client base, including the mentoring and coaching of several of the key sales managers throughout the country.

With a BBA in Business from Loyola Marymount University, and an MBA in Financial Management, he has a strong academic background. He also maintains the FINRA Series 7, Series 63 and Series 65 licenses. 

Beyond his professional life Brian is passionate about giving back to the community. He currently serves as a Board Member for the Police Athletic League in New York City and is a supporter of Don Bosco Prep High School, in Ramsey, NJ where both his sons attended.
